Resourcing Adolescents to Gain Essentials Scheme (RAGE)

RAGE aims to provide services to young people between the ages of 14 and 23 years (inclusive) in the Illawarra and 14 to 17 years (inclusive) in the Shoalhaven who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, homeless or those at risk of disadvantage and homelessness and have lived away from home for a long time or cannot return home.

RAGE also provides assistance to young people vulnerable due to alcohol and/or other drugs use and other situations that may cause vulnerability.

The Service assists young people to access and maintain housing and to overcome barriers to improved life opportunities.

The Scheme provides:

  • assessment
  • support
  • referral
  • advocacy
  • skills education
  • information
  • material and financial assistance
  • support in the offer of material/financial assistance to gain essentials, ie. clothes, fridge, washing machine, travel fares, bond, moving expenses
  • support in the offer of financial assistance for detoxification or rehabilitation programs and/or counselling or specialist assistance and getting in touch with these programs
