Supported Accommodation Intensive Living Situation Service (SAILSS)
SAILSS - Supported Accommodation Intensive Living Situation Service provides individual residential unit accommodation and other housing options. Staff provide drop in support in the young peoples residence and some sites have on site support.
SAILSS is a innovative model where young people live in their own individual units/accommodation and other housing sites. This maybe a few placements on one site or separate placements in the area and includes existing services where the additional support makes the placement possible. Mixed client case load/mixed tenancy. Staff provide support by visiting the young people in their homes or other locations and some sites may have on site support. This model is considered a step-down from the residential care model with a focus on equipping the young person for independence. This Service is provided in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Goulburn.
