Young Independent People In Housing (YIPIH)

YIPIH provides medium-term semi-independent supported accommodation for young people between the ages of 16-21 years (younger people may be assessed in special circumstances) who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, homeless or those at risk of disadvantage and homelessness and their families.

Priority access is offered to young women. Young people can live in this service until they are ready for more independent living situations.

The Service provides:

  • Supported accommodation-medium term (private flats)
  • Assessment
  • Social/living skills education
  • Advocacy
  • Referral
  • Support
  • Information

YIPIH is funded under the NSW Government's SHS Services provisions.
