Newly Arrived Youth Specialists (NAYS)

This Program assists young people aged between 12 to 21 years who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, homeless or those at risk of disadvantage and homelessness and their families, who have migrated to Australia in the last five years. Priority is given to those who have entered Australia on humanitarian visas.

The Services provided include:

  • assistance in family reconciliation and restoration
  • support to stabilise living arrangements
  • counselling - individual and family
  • case management
  • crisis intervention
  • practical assistance and support
  • information and referral
  • assistance in gaining access to other services
